2011 NOTES:
WCFHC Bylaws. All of the existing rules are the same, except the portion regarding student-eligibility and referee payments. I think it is important to have student-eligibility become a set bylaw in 2012 to not only make the league more legitimate and in accordance with all other college club sports leagues but to ensure all players are on the same "playing field." The student-eligibility bylaw will be on a "test trial" for the upcoming 2011 season. Rosters of full-time students are still due by the 1st conference game, but will only be checked at the WCFHC Playoffs.
PAYING OFFICIALS: Officials will be paid for all CONFERENCE games via the WCFHC this season. Southern Teams must send $600 deposit and Northern Teams a $450 deposit by September 1st. (Officials should receive $75 per game). If teams cannot make this full deposit, please contact WCFHC Email and we will work something out. Officials reffing NON-CONFERENCE games will be paid by individual teams. It is the responsibility of both the official and the team representative to be aware of whether the game is conference or non-conference and ask for the appropriate stipend. Address to which the official deposits should be sent to will also be sent out in the near future.
NFHCA MEMBERSHIP: In order to participate in the National Collegiate Club Championship December 2-4th, teams must be NFHCA members. The membership is $50 for the year. Every WCFHC team needs to sign up their coach or primary team rep for the NFHCA College-Club Membership - https://nfhca.virtualroster.com/CollegeClubMembership/Create
Additional Information:
1) The NFHCA National Championship Tournament is December 2 - 4, 2011 at UCSB.
2) First round games will start at Noon on Friday.
3) The championship game will be at 1:00pm on Sunday.
4) Up to 8 teams will be invited to participate and if the east team participation level is where the NFHCA wants it then 2 WCFHC teams will be invited. The other six team spots will come from outside the WCFHC. |
